The semifinalists and finalists
of the first edition

After the first phase of project evaluation, the Encubator Selection Committee selected the 25 projects that enter the semifinal fase of the challenge.

The semifinalist projects from the first edition of Encubator are:

  • Agrivia – Agrivia proposes a solution that allows people living in big cities to eat while having minimal impact on both production and transportation
  • AraBat – AraBat transforms spent Lithium-Ion batteries into new products by using oranges
  • BiSTEMS – BiSTEMS develops oxygen-steam gasification technology to enable diffused biomass-to-biofuel conversion infrastructure for the small scale.
  • EarthAutomations – The EarthAutomations develop an autonomous robotic platform to automatize process in a difficult environments for Agriculture
  • FiberEUse Tech – Mechanical recycling of fiberglass composite materials through a Cyber-physical system with an integrated value-chain demanddriven approach
  • Gaia Turbine – Gaia Turbine has developed a micro, plug-and-play, hydroelectric turbine capable to achieve an efficiency of 97%
  • H2Electro – High-temperature electrolyser stacks are developed for industrial applications, where green hydrogen can be produced at high efficiency
  • H2go Technology – We want to take part in the hydrogen energy transaction by producing our own top-performing Solid Oxide Cells. We will say: “we were there!”
  • IUV – A plastic-free packaging and edible coatings fresh food products startup firm developer.
  • KINSECT | Proteins to feed a sustainable world – Kinsect provides technologies and solutions for insect rearing, in circular economy field, producing innovative and sustainable proteins
  • LIMENET – carbon-free slaked lime and calcium bicarbonates. Two products to fight climate change and ocean acidification.
  • Northern Light Composites (nlcomp) – nlcomp developed a technology that solve the problem of end of life of fiberglass for the composite industry (starting from marine industry)
  • PERS (Pressure Energy Recovery Systems) – A device that increases the energy efficiency and working time of electric forklifts and systems operating with pressurized fluid.
  • RarEarth – A process to recycle NdFeB permanent magnets from end-oflife two-wheeled vehicles such as scooters, bikes and motorcycles
  • Reco2 – Transforms industrial waste into innovative materials for green buildings
  • Regrowth – An IoT system for management of extensive small-scale farms by monitoring animal health, LCA and linking it with Farm-to-Fork traceability
